with usThe Role
This is a newly created leadership role designed to be the voice and narrative engine of Roxanne Assoulin. Rox has a singular point of view — joyful, optimistic, full of heart — and a founder story that customers genuinely connect to. We’re looking for a senior brand and content leader who can translate that vision
into clear, consistent storytelling across every place the brand shows up: launches, campaigns, social, editorial, founder narrative, press, partnerships, and in-store moments. You’ll be the connective tissue between the founder, Creative, Marketing, Ecommerce, and PR — making sure the story is sharp, the messaging is cohesive, and the brand sounds and feels like itself everywhere. It’s an exciting opportunity for a storyteller-strategist who loves working closely with a founder and turning a beloved brand into an even more beloved one.
What You’ll Own
- Brand narrative and
messaging architecture, defining the core
story, positioning, messaging pillars, and tone of voice that guide everything
the brand says.
- Translating brand’s vision into language
— partnering directly with the Founder/Creative Director to turn instinct,
taste, and point of view into clear briefs, talking points, and content the
rest of the team can run with.
- Founder narrative and
thought leadership, shaping Rox’s public
voice across press, podcasts, social, keynote moments, and editorial features.
- Launch and campaign
storytelling, owning the narrative behind
every product drop, collaboration, and seasonal moment — from concept brief
through copy, captions, and press story.
- Editorial and content
strategy across owned channels — social, blog/journal, email, video, and in-store — building a content calendar that
compounds the brand over time.
- Brand cohesion across
every touch point, ensuring product,
packaging, site, retail, paid, organic, PR, and partnerships all sound and feel
unmistakably Roxanne Assoulin
- PR and communications
partnership, working alongside agency and internal partners to shape press angles, founder features, and brand moments.
- Cross-functional
collaboration with Creative, Marketing, Ecommerce, and Retail, briefing and editing copy and content so brand voice is consistent across every channel and team.
- Brand guidelines and voice
documentation, building and maintaining
the playbook that scales the brand’s voice as the team grows,
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years in brand, content,
editorial, or communications, with 2+ years at the Director level shaping
narrative and voice for a consumer brand.
Exceptional writer and
editor — you can move fluidly between a press quote, an Instagram caption,
a founder essay, a launch manifesto, and a product description, and they all
sound like the same brand.
- Proven experience working
closely with a founder or creative principal, translating their instincts into language and protecting their voice at scale.
- Your partners in crime are Director of eCommerce and Director of Creative, you own the Calendar and the brief.
- Strong brand strategy
chops — comfortable building messaging frameworks, positioning, and
tone-of-voice guidelines from the ground up.
- Content and editorial
leadership across social, video, email,
and editorial — you understand what makes content resonate on each platform.
- PR and storytelling
instincts — you know how to shape a story
that lands with press, customers, and culture.
- A taste-driven, brand-first mindset paired with a respect for the role storytelling plays
in driving growth.
- Highly collaborative and
comfortable being the connective tissue across Creative, Marketing, Ecommerce,
Retail, and PR. Omnichannel is paramount here.
- Scrappy, resourceful, and
comfortable operating in a lean, founder-led environment.
- Experience building and
leading small teams (writers, content producers, social leads) as a player-coach who can be both strategic and hands-on.
- Background in fashion,
jewelry, accessories, luxury, or lifestyle brands strongly preferred.
Retail Associate — Madison Avenue Flagship
1069 Madison Avenue, New York City Full-Time / Part-Time · In-Person
We're Roxanne Assoulin — a New York jewelry brand built on color, happiness, and the belief that the right piece can turn a whole day around. People don't just buy our pieces. They stack them, layer them, gift them, and come back for more. Our Madison Avenue flagship is the brand at full volume: walls of color, a charm bar where you can build something that's yours alone, and a steady stream of people who walk in curious and walk out smiling.
We're looking for someone to be the heart of that room.
The job
You're the first hello. Some guests come in for a gift and leave with a stack of their own. Some come straight to the charm bar with a plan. Some just wander in off Madison because the window made them happy. Your job is to meet all of them where they are — style them, tell them the story behind what they're holding, and make sure the visit is the best part of their errand run.
The day-to-day looks like this:
- Styling clients on the floor and at the charm bar — helping them mix, layer, and build their own RA look (there's a real art to a good stack, and you'll learn it).
- Getting to know our regulars — remembering the piece they bought last month, letting them know when something they'd love arrives, making first-timers feel like regulars too.
- Keeping the store beautiful: color in order, charm bar stocked and inviting, every corner ready for whoever walks in next.
- Handling checkout smoothly (we're on Shopify POS — easy to learn) and pitching in on events, trunk shows, and the occasional pop-up.
You
You don't need a jewelry résumé. You need warmth that can't be faked, an eye for what looks good, and real joy in making someone's day. Our favorite people are the ones clients mention by name in five-star reviews. A year or so in retail or hospitality helps; loving people and beautiful things matters more. Weekends and holidays are part of retail life on Madison — we'll need you for some of them.
The details
Full-time and part-time schedules available. Compensation based on experience, with room to grow — and extra hours during events and the holiday season if you want them. You'll report to our Retail Operations Manager and work alongside a small, close, genuinely fun team.
To apply
Send your resume and a few lines about why you love Roxanne Assoulin. (We read every one — the few lines usually tell us more than the resume.)

— Assist on content capture days and photoshoots; manage shot lists + BTS capture
— Maintain a daily/weekly content calendar aligned to launches, stories, and seasonal priorities
Publishing & Engagement
— Publish content directly and ensure quality control across platforms
— Monitor community engagement and surface themes/opportunities to the team
— Identify relevant trends, audio, formats, and creative references; adapt them to RA
Insights & Collaboration

— Collaborate cross-functionally to support storytelling for retail, wholesale, CX, and brand initiatives
— Partner with the Founder & Creative Director to explore new creative directions
